Home Again

Hey everyone,
So sorry it's been so long since my last post. Had tons of changes in the past few months that consumed all my time. Mainly moving, the hubster and I moved back up to IN from AL last month. I transferred to a Target store, and so far it has been wonderful! We're both happy, hubby was able to find a job within the first 2 weeks! AND after only working at my new store for only a month I'm already pre-training to become a Team Lead! :)

I am still working on making jewelry, but once again time just is not wanting to be my friend. Tomorrow I am planning on posting more pictures tomorrow! I have been making earring cards that I am very excited about!

Look for more posts and share with your friends :)

Change

Hello dearies-

Yet again I have fallen from the face of the earth when it comes to keeping my blog up-to-date. First, I would like to say I am sorry. Second, I have a lot of new exciting news to bring to everyone!

So, my holidays were good, best part was realizing how amazing my husband is and how I am such a lucky girl to have found him!

*JANUARY 2013*
So far, this year has already had a lot of down times. Family disputes, going from working 40 hours a week to 9 hours. WTH right!?!? so with that it brings stress and worry over finances.

Alas, being faced with so many struggles at once my husband and I have done about of talking, thinking, and decision making. We have decided that we are going to move back to IN. We miss our family and friends and just need a new start. We have a plan of moving in with my husbands mom while we get back on our feet. I'll be transferring to another Target store. I have also contacted my old manager and after we get back I may have a second job working at Pizza King. My mother in law has told us that Jason pretty well has a job lined up for when we get there. We just have a really good feeling about going back. Ever since moving down here to AL it has been an up hill struggle for us. So it's time for a change.

Also I have started making jewelry, I do have a second blog with everything posted on there to sell. So go to L R Creations and check it out. Share the link with friends and family!

Time For The Holidays

How was everyones Thanksgiving? My weekend turned out really good :)
On Thanksgiving we all went over to my sisters house and she out did herself with dinner and desserts :)  We even played a little game of 'What are you Thankful For' We all wrote down some things that we were thankful for and put in a bowl. Nikki read them out loud and everyone had to try and guess who wrote what. If was pretty fun :) Afterwards Jason and I came home and I got ready to work for BLACK FRIDAY! Target of course opened at 9pm Thursday night... I worked from 6pm-8:45am, when I got off work I came home and fell right into bed and slept a good bit. Later that night after waking up Jason and I helped my dad and brother move some stuff. I had to go back into work at 3am. Got off work at 10am, my dad picked me up and we went to his apartment and we got things together for another dinner. Every year we always have 2 thanksgiving dinners. :) BUT this time we had FRIED TURKEY! It was soo good, I also got Christmas lights up on dads porch. It looks so pretty out there now! :) We hung out for a bit afterwards then came home and fell right to sleep. Today is my lazy day...

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Going to try and get the Christmas tree up sometime today :)

Busy Month

Right when I start to get everything in order. Things get out of wack!
It has been a very stress filled month, been working my butt off. The hubster was let go at his job cause a guy that was out on medical leave came back. He found another job not a week later and then a girl came back and so he was let go from that job! Its so hard anymore to find a good paying job anymore. Plus we get to deal with the truck breaking down as well, so on top of dealing with that and bills, we're still trying to figure out a way to find a place of our own so we can move out of my brothers and get back on our feet again. We're trying to get all of our p's and q's together.  It will happen, I have faith that things will come together sooner or later. If only we could stop running into dead ends and bad luck...

On another note I have started some more craft projects. One being making jewelry :)
I've made a few necklaces and earrings. All turning out very well, I'm tossing the idea of trying to sell what I make around. But getting the up front money to get everything going is the tricky part. I will figure it out though, and with the holidays coming up it could be a great idea for gifts.

One thing that keeps my spirits up is it is finally that time of year again. Autumn...
Time for light jackets and pumpkin spice is enough to fill your heart.

Well, laundry is calling my name so I must go. Look forward too pictures on the crafts I have been working on soon.

Until next time :)

Stone and Seashell Picture Frame

I found a great deal on picture frames at Target. A 4 pack of frames for 5 dollars! I wanted to decorate them and make something fun and creative. I had some stones and crushed seashells laying around so I figured it was time to get the hot glue gun out and get to work.

Turning a plain basic frame into a beautiful craft project is easy, but time consuming. Don't let that turn you away though, because the outcome is well worth it.

First things first, the ideas you'll need is:
  • Basic Picture Frame
  • Crushed Seashells
  • Stones  (any kind will do, I used glass)
  • Hot Glue Gun

A Much Needed Weekend

Jason and I was suppose to ride up to northern Alabama to see his dad before he moved back to IN. Although we was not able to do so due to rain. So instead we savaged the weekend and spent it together.
Saturday I actually got Jason to agree to going to Hobby Lobby with me! We looked at all sorts of things, got my 2 bags worth of supplies :) Afterwards we stopped into the Harley Davidson dealership and got Jason a new shirt! (Which he looks handsome as ever in)

Sunday was a fabulous day, we went for a ride out to the Gulf State Pier. We just walked down to the end and saw a guy standing really close to a Pelican. Her name was Samantha, she was rescued for the BP oil spill 2 years ago. She let Jason and I both pet her!

Crafty Glass Picture Frame

I went to Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago and got a bunch of new craft supplies. They had a wicked sale going on, one of them being 50% off their picture frames! I found this 'Floating Picture Frame'...
So I figured I would post on here on how to take this plain ol' picture frames and turn it into a fun crafty creation :)

The Supplies List:
"Floating" Picture Frame. (You can use any picture frame, just need something bigger than the picture your using)
Paper (I used Scrapbook paper)
Scrapbook tags
Phrase Stickers.
