Stone and Seashell Picture Frame

I found a great deal on picture frames at Target. A 4 pack of frames for 5 dollars! I wanted to decorate them and make something fun and creative. I had some stones and crushed seashells laying around so I figured it was time to get the hot glue gun out and get to work.

Turning a plain basic frame into a beautiful craft project is easy, but time consuming. Don't let that turn you away though, because the outcome is well worth it.

First things first, the ideas you'll need is:
  • Basic Picture Frame
  • Crushed Seashells
  • Stones  (any kind will do, I used glass)
  • Hot Glue Gun

Step 1:

Take the glass out of the frame
Step 2:

Find the stones you want to use for the frame. Its easier to lay the stones on the frame, that way you can get an idea on how it would look
Super glue the stones in place...

Step 3: (Now for the messy but fun part!)
Note- Keep your frame on some paper, that makes it easier to clean up the shells.
Add glue between the stones, and pour shells over it, hold the shells tightly in place for a few seconds to ensure the shells sticks with the glue. Shake off any remaining shells before moving on

It will look like this!
Just keep doing little bits at a time all the way around the frame.

Finally once you glue the shells all the way around the frame. Put the Glass, your picture and frame back back on and it will look like this. :)
